In this guide, we will talk about repetitive tasks - Habits.

Adding a habit cannot be simpler. You can both write your own habit or choose from the proposed list.

To begin, make the first step:

Creating own habit from scratch with custom settings

If you want to create your own habit, tap the "Regular habit" or the "One-time task" button on the “Create new habit” screen:

  • Regular habit: If you want to create a habit that repeats regularly throughout your week, month or day. This way, it will automatically appear on your schedule according to the pattern you choose—daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • One-time task: If you want to create a habit that repeats only once.

Step 1: Edit your habit - Regular habit

  •  Name your habit by tapping the “Name your habit” field and add a description.

  • Select an icon to be displayed along with it. To do that, tap on the icon button and choose an icon and its color to your liking among the suggested options.

Step 2: Schedule your habit

  • Choose a repetition interval (daily, weekly, monthly).

    • The "Daily" tab contains the days of the week. By default, all the days are selected, the Repeat every day checkbox is enabled. To deselect unnecessary days, tap the round button with the first letter of the corresponding day.

    • The "Weekly" option allows you to choose how often a habit will be completed. Tap a number from "1" to "6," depending on your weekly goal.

    • The "Monthly" option for a habit, you’ll be prompted to choose how often it should repeat throughout the month—for example, every 1, 2, or 3 days.

Please note! 
Changing a habit's schedule reverts your progress for it.
  • Below you’ll find a helpful "Set end date or goal amount" option.
    • You can select the Date tab, choose a day when you plan to complete your habit for the last time by tapping on the calendar icon to open the calendar.

    • By selecting the Amount tab, you can set a specific duration or quantity for completing the habit. Once you've reached that target, the habit will be marked as complete.

  • In the Goal section, you can define how many times or how much time you want to dedicate to completing the habit each day.

Step 3: Create a reminder

To stay on track, you can enable the "Get a reminder" option. Then, tap "Add a reminder time" to choose when you'd like to receive a notification from Productive—prompting you to start or complete your habit.
